Advanced Magnetism (1925) by Edmund Shaftesbury,

Advanced Magnetism (1925) by Edmund Shaftesbury,
This volume is a course of training on advanced magnetism, or the private uses of emotional control of men and women in everyday departments of life. It presents a wholly separate world of study and practice apart from all other fields of magnetic control, and in so doing, proves the fact that the uses of personal magnetism are as varied and as far reaching as human life itself.

Spectroscopy With Coherent Radiation: Selected Papers of Norman F. Ramsey With Commentary by Norman Ramsey,
Spectroscopy With Coherent Radiation: Selected Papers of Norman F. Ramsey With Commentary by Norman Ramsey,
This invaluable volume contains a biography of Nobel laureate Norman F Ramsey as well as reprints and retrospective commentaries on 56 papers relating to spectroscopy with coherent radiation. The earliest papers describe his work with I I Rabi, developing the then new magnetic resonance method and its uses to measure magnetic moments of the different forms of hydrogen and to discover the deuteron electric quadrupole moment. Later papers include his invention of the method of coherent separated oscillatory fields, the development of the atomic hydrogen maser and the uses of these methods to measure properties of nucleons, nuclei, atoms and molecules and to test parity and time reversal symmetries. Other papers present the first successful theories of nuclear magnetic shielding, NMR chemical shifts, electron-coupled nuclear spin-spin interactions and negative absolute temperatures.

Magnetic reactance - Magnetic reactance is the parameter of a passive magnetic circuit or its element, which is equal to the square root of the difference of squares of the full and effective magnetic resistance for a magnetic current, taken with the sign plus, if the magnetic current lags behind the magnetic tension in phase, and with the sign minus, if the magnetic current leads the magnetic tension in phase.

Magnetic capacitance - Magnetic capacitance (capacitive magnetic reactance) is the magnetic reactance to magnetic current, which is attributed by the magnetic capacitivity of the element of a magnetic circuit and for harmonic regimes is equal to the absolute value, which is the reciprocal of the product of this magnetic capacitivity and the angle frequency.

Magnetic inductance - Magnetic inductance (inductive magnetic reactance) is the magnetic reactance to magnetic current, which is attributed by the magnetic self-inductivity of the element of an magnetic circuit and for harmonic regimes is equal to the product of this magnetic inductivity and the angle frequency.

Magnetic capacitivity - Magnetic capacitivity – the scalar value for element of a magnetic circuit, which is numerically equal to magnetic conductivity for the magnetic flux or to relation between this magnetic flux and the difference of the magnetic potentials on this element.

This invaluable volume contains a biography of Nobel laureate Norman F Ramsey as well as reprints and retrospective commentaries on 56 papers relating to spectroscopy with coherent radiation. Reminding us that geniuses are cranks who happen to be wrong, Science or Pseudoscience, now in paperback, reveals that the distinction is both equivocal and misleading. Setting aside science's snowy mantle of truth, pseudoscience--or anomalistics--is presented not as the opposite of science, but as something that develops parallel to it. Using examples including polywater, ball lightning, and cold fusion, Bauer explores the diffuse and porous borders between orthodoxy and scientific heresy. The earliest papers describe his work with I magnetic coolant separator.

Freezer Refrigerator Undercounter - ... gas absorption refrigerator. Swift Refrigerator Line - The Swift Refrigerator Line (SRL, also known as the Swift Refrigerator Transportation Company) was a private refrigerator car line established around 1875 by Chicago meat packer Gustavus Swift, the founder of Swift and Company. Refrigerator magnet - A refrigerator magnet (or "fridge magnet") is a piece of ornament attached to a magnet that is used to decorate refrigerator doors. Hydrogen Generator Design - ... Generator (MEG) is an unusual transformer, which is most notable for claims of over-unity operation (as stated by the inventors, after a predetermined switching event the "generator" operates without an application of external power). Contrary to standard transformers, a permanent magnet is included in the design and the associated circuitry shifts the operation point of the magnetic core. Cockcroft-Walton generator - The Cockcroft-Walton (CW) generator, or multiplier, was named after the two men who in 1932 used this circuit design to power their particle accelerator, performing the first artificial nuclear disintegration in history. John Douglas ...
